Ambulance service staff ‘in tears’ with jobs ‘at risk’ as private firm awarded patient contract

More than 80 ambulance service staff were left “in tears” and fearing for their jobs after a key patient transport contract in Worcestershire was awarded to the private company E-zec Medical Transport. The contract had been held by the West Midlands Ambulance Service.

The Unison union, which represents ambulance workers, said it fears for ambulance hubs at Kidderminster, Bromsgrove and Worcester, قيامة عثمان according to the Birmingham Mail .

There is still no confirmation that E-zec will keep the patient transport service hubs after it takes them over next April. There are also questions over pensions and terms and conditions for the staff
