Mental health patients forced to rely on isolating private care

Five million mental health patients have been forced rely on care in the private sector. British Medical Association (BMA) investigated this crisis and has revealed various NHS patients with severe mental health problems are being allocated to private mental health hospitals that often are hundred of miles from their homes. This has left mental health patients falling short of NHS care, with physical health remaining a healthcare priority. Doctors have criticised this move as it isolates the patients from their families.
