Campaign to prevent the privatisation of Oxford PET-CT scanning service

Keep our NHS Public Oxfordshire (KONPOX) has written to the chair of Parliament’s Health Select Committee – Sarah Wollaston MP – requesting that Oxford University Hospitals Trust keep the contract for the PET-CT scanning service. NHS England is showing preference for private provider InHealth because it offered mobile scanners for Milton Keynes and Swindon.  Joan Stewart, a member of KONPOX, said NHS contracting is ‘a catalogue of failures [that] has led to great uncertainty and distress for cancer patients and clinicians, faced with the potential loss of an excellent quality and safe service at the Churchill site’.
